354 DYNO Session

It's a good thing I took my motor to Jan Cen Automotive.  We fired up the motor; first thing we found is we had two dead cylinders originally I set the firing order to a 302 firing order and it end up being a 351 firing order.  Now that we had the motor running on all eight cylinders the carburetor was linking out of one of the fuel bowls; we found out that we stripped the threads out of the base of the carburetor.  One healey coil later we started out at 30 degrees timing; first pole we couldn't get it past 379 HP.  Then we bumped the timing up to another two degrees and made 470 HP; eleven poles later with a few carburetors adjustments, and the timing set for 42 degrees the motor made 440 lbs of torque at 5300 rpm and 575 HP at 7300 rpm needless to say, my day started very sad and eleven poles later I was extremely happy.  Oh by the way, this motor is running on 93 octane pump gas.  Here are some pictures of the build. More pictures will be posted at a later time.
